How to Enter AABC 2027

Join us in Melbourne from 13–15 August 2027 for a weekend of adult dance, training and performance.

Follow the steps below to build the festival experience that suits you. You can enter the Sunday competition, attend Friday or Saturday training, or combine your choices across the weekend.

All prices below are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Step 1: Choose How You Would Like to Participate

There are two participation pathways:

  • Competition entrant: Perform in the Sunday competition, with the option to add Friday and Saturday activities.

  • Festival-only participant: Join Friday masterclasses and/or Saturday classes without entering the Sunday competition.

You do not need to attend all three days, but we would love you to!.

Step 2: Allow for Your Festival Registration Fee

Every participating dancer must complete their own registration and pay the compulsory Festival Registration fee of $214.50 including GST.

This fee is separate from performance entries, masterclasses, feedback sessions, Saturday classes and merchandise.

Step 3: Choose Your Performance Entries

If you are entering the Sunday competition, select the performance or performances you wish to enter.

Performance entry Fee per dancer, per performance, including GST

Classical ballet solo $203.50

Contemporary solo $203.50

Pas de deux or duo $132.00

Trio$110.00

Group of 4–8 dancers $82.50

Each performance entry includes competition stage time, professional adjudication, feedback for the entered performance and placement within the appropriate competition section.

Entering with other dancers? Every member must register individually and pay their own Festival Registration and performance entry fees. Use exactly the same duo, trio or group name so we can match your entries.

The performance entry fee is per dancer, per performance. It is not one fee shared between the group.

Example: Festival Registration plus one group performance costs $297.00 including GST per dancer.

Festival-only participants can move straight to Step 4.

Step 4: Choose Your Optional Activities

Optional activity Fee including GST

Friday Repertoire Masterclass — per dancer $71.50

Friday Feedback Session — per session $36.30

Saturday ABC Training Experience — two classes per dancer $71.50

AABC branded T-shirt $60.50

The Friday Feedback Session is available to registered competition participants. Group performances will have longer during these session.

Only select activities you wish to participate in.

If you are entering the Sunday competition only, you do not need to book Friday or Saturday activities, although this is encouraged to be involved as much as possible.
